The difference between the American golf and the Japanese golf
by Koji

It has been said that golf was born in England and developed in the U.S and degraded in Japan. I sometime enjoy playing golf and I have played golf in the U.S. only one time. However the diffrence is clear. In the case of Japan, these days when we play golf we always get up at dawn and arrive the golf course. After that we have breakfast at the deluxe restrant in luxurious clubhouse. On the other hand, in the case of the U.S. generally speaking, golf course is so close and there is only simple front desk and the sandwich-house. Moreover, in the case of Japan, after 9 holes we definitely have a deluxe lunch with a lot of liquor, but in the case of the U.S. they play through 18 holes from the start and they have lunch with hotdog and soft drink which are sold at the booth. After all the holes, Japanese people enjoy a good bath like a spa, from then they start to drink liquor while getting paid back for the bet, but the American people only take a shower and hurry home. After all American golf is pure sports but Japanese golf is a kind of the entertainment.

I'm a wannabe of Hakone Ekiden, too.
by Koji

Hakone Ekide is the inter-collegiate road relay and most popular TV program on the New Year's day (Jan 2nd. & 3rd.).
This race started from Tokyo Nihonbashi to Hakone town near the Mt,Fiji and the second day they returned to Tokyo to the same place, its length was about 100km one way and vertical drop was about 1300m. On the race, 20 teams participated, 10 unversities were seeded school and other school had cleared the preliminary. They fight to gamble their school's glory. On each day, 5 runners run the whole distance while relaying their school brace. Each runner was not allowed to retire because one runner's retirement means his team's retirement.
Every year, I am impressed at such runner's responsibility.
When this Ekiden race was over, our New Year's holiday over all at once.

Amazing gastric camera
by Koji

It’s big news for a middle-aged person who worries about gastric pain. I was diagnosed with a new camera recently, and I didn’t feel any real pain. This camera is not put in through the mouth; it is put in through the nose. Therefore, the damage to the body is very small compared with a conventional camera. It was achieved by a super slim endoscope. The scope is only 5.9 mm in diameter, about half of the thickness of a conventional gastric camera. I could talk to the doctor throughout the inspection because my mouth was free. Therefore, I could accept this situation very well. About 95% of 2,000 patients prefer this method, according to a questionnaire in the hospital. I will never be diagnosed without this gastric camera again!

Western-style bath
by Koji

Every time I stay at the overseas Hotel, It is nothing short of mystery to me about the western-style bathtub. Generally speaking, Japanese people have a poor physique, so everything is bigger in foreign countries than in Japan. However, only as to the bathtub, it's very poky and I am still not used to take the western-style bathtub. In the case of Japanese baths, we can welter in a lot of hot water in a relaxed manner. However in the case of the western-style bathtub, it's downright halfway, it's too small to welter in hot water, and I have to be careful about using water, because it is unacceptable to drop water on the floor. For the Japanese people, the bathroom is the best relaxing space in the narrow house, so we can enjoy a lot of hot water and enjoy hearing the sound of water’s overspill. For the Japanese people, the western-style bathtub is only the tray of a shower.

Age of the Europe
by Koji

The E.U. includes 25 nations. The E.U. wants to create a strong European community.
I have always considered that the world marketplace had changed from Eur-American to Asia, especially due to the business recession
of Europe, which was remarkable.
However, recently Europe shows promising signs for economic
expansion. In this year, the World Cup being held in Germany
will certainly aid the economic expansion of the region. And
the Northem European countries have already been developed.
In the decade ahead Russia and Eastern European countries
will also likely show great economic development. In 2012
the olympics will be held in London, so it will give a boost to
the UK's economy. After all, the number of people in Europe
will approach 800 million therefore,it will make a great market itself.
I think the age of the Europe might be coming.
